Today is one of those days in an archery career that you come into full of excitement with a wisp of trepidation. It’s exceedingly fun, but a hint of scary at the same time. A height of giddy happiness kept in check only by the unknown.
It’s the day you announce a new lead sponsor and the start of a new partnership.
Today…is my coming out party as a Factory Pro for Team Hoyt.
It’s impossible to properly thank enough the amazing people that I have been affiliated with over the last several years and I can’t seem to find the right words to express my gratitude for their friendship and support. It means the world. Even while I look ahead to a new season and new opportunities with Hoyt, I find it hard to look back and not think I’m leaving friends behind in some way.
Those who know me best understand that those personal and professional relationships are an integral part of who I am. It’s why I’m leaving on the best of terms with respect for the company, the people, my teammates, my friends and supporters who have all contributed to my success in ways to many to count. To all of them especially Blake, Bobby, John Brown, and Chad I share my most heartfelt thanks. I’m looking forward to seeing you on the road, catching up on family stories, hunting and fishing tales, and all the things that are good in life away from the stick and string.
As I go forward to my new team at Hoyt, I’d specifically like to thank Kevin and Mike for the flexibility and grace to exit one door and enter theirs at my own pace. Mine was not an easy decision and they were more than accommodating. A testament in professionalism and understanding throughout the entire process.
I also ask all of you who have been a supporter and fan of mine over the years to still follow along, and cheer me on as I start taking steps in a new and exciting part of my journey in professional shooting career. I’m looking forward to 2015 and I can’t wait to see you all on the tour.
Until then, now seems like a perfect time to share thanks, and wish all of you a warm and happy holiday season, and a Merry Christmas.
